Getting Involved
CHAMBER COMMITTEES and
PROJECT TEAMS
One of the great values of volunteer
service is volunteering with other dynamic,
outstanding people in your community. Don’t
take this for granted. Pay close attention
to the details these people bring to the
table. This is a terrific opportunity to
learn from other successful people you
respect. Watch and learn from their work
habits, their leadership skills, their
organization skills and ask yourself
constantly, “How could I use that back in my
office?” You may find that volunteer time
is, or can be, an ongoing professional
development workshop as well! This is just
one reason to volunteer with the Pendleton
Chamber of Commerce. These are the
committees the Board of Directors has put in
place to help achieve the Chamber’s overall
mission and the goals set for the year.
Involvement in one of these areas is a great
way to network, get to know more people, and
let them get to know who you are. Remember,
people do business with people they know!
